Po godzinie 10 doszło do zgłoszenia do służb ratunkowych od członka rodziny o rodzicach, z którymi nie można się skontaktować i prawdopodobnie przebywają w zamkniętym mieszkaniu.
Do bloku przy ulicy Bojanowskiego w Ostrowie Wielkopolskim przyjechali strażacy, policja i za zgodą osoby bliskiej siłowo otwarto drzwi. Wewnątrz natrafiono na ciała dwóch osób bez funkcji życiowych.
Rozpoczęto reanimację do czasu przyjazdu dwóch zespołów ratownictwa medycznego. Niestety przybyły na miejsce lekarz stwierdził zgon mężczyzny i kobiety w wieku około 65-70 lat.
Zmierzono stężenie tlenku węgla, ale nie wykryto jego stężenia. Trwa ustalanie co mogło być przyczyną śmierci.
